GLADSTONE, Mo. – Leigh Hendren Garnett was recently named broker of the Realty Executives Area Realtors office in Gladstone taking over for Larry Leone, who is retiring from the position of broker after 28 years as broker and 37 years in real estate. Leone and his wife, Janine, who has been a top selling agent in the Northland for many years, will remain sales agents for Realty Executives Area Realtors.

Garnett has been a licensed Realtor since 1985 after graduating from William Jewell College in Liberty, Mo. where she grew up. Her husband, Paul Garnett, also works in the office as a top selling agent. After a 20-year-career in ophthalmic laser sales, Paul left to join his wife in real estate sales. Paul and Leigh Garnet have been consistently ranked as top producers in the Northland and are licensed in Missouri and Kansas.

“I’m pleased to be able to lead this office as the new broker,” said Leigh. “It’s a new challenge, and I’m happy to take on the role as mentor to these highly-qualified, experienced sales executives we have here in the Gladstone office.”

Long time Smithville, Mo.-residents, the Garnetts are familiar with the growth of the communities in the Northland and the particular challenges facing these cities. The couple is parents to Charlie and Madison King, both full time students at the University of Missouri.

Leigh has served on various committees for the Kansas City Regional Association of Realtors including the standard forms review, risk reduction and continuing education review.
